September 22 Field Trip Report


Twenty people spent this morning at the Muskegon Lake Nature Preserve birding the trails and watching Brian Johnson band birds at the pavilion.




All told 51 bird species were observed (my eBird list below plus these by others: Great Horned Owl, Semipalmated Plover, Palm Warbler, House Wren, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Red-eyed Vireo, Warbling Vireo, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Prothonotary Warbler, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Eastern Phoebe, Belted Kingfisher, Bald Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Sandhill Crane, Mute Swan, Swainson's Thrush and Purple Finch.)
